Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands or ears.  Reflexologists believe that these reflexology footareas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the organs and person’s general health.

Brandi explains it as the foot (and ears and hands) has nerve endings from all of the body systems.  It’s like a circuit board for your entire body.  By rubbing the zones on the foot, it can move the toxins in the body that correspond back to that body system (i.e., if a person has chest congestion, I would apply pressure on the area corresponding with the lungs to help relieve tightness and move mucous).

Although reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure health disorders, millions of people around the world use it to compliment other treatments.
